Update route when changing the profile type

When I plan a route, sometimes I like to switch between different profiles to see the options. However, it does not do anything, it only triggers the rerouting once the route is changed a little bit. I think it would be more useful to trigger a reroute on profile change!

There were few changes. Still we do not change profiles automatically but there is a button (open menu clicking on thre dots) to apply selected profile to the whole route. Or you can change profile for each segment if you need to adjust it in more granular way.

You will find the answer to your post there, since I suggested the exact same. And I have to agree with Kacper Golinski that an instant change makes no sense, because how would you then change the profile while planning? It is still not 100% done in my opinion and just added a further suggestion to maybe improve it a little bit. It might need some UI changes to make it more clear on how it works.
