Show coloured elevation chart
It would be nice to show the gradient as a color on the chart itself. So steep parts red and so on. So it would be easier to recognize steep parts. See example: Instead of showing everything green, show this part orange.

Do you know any apps that are displaying such coloured elevation charts? Also, I wonder how to approach that. Should we split route into certain segments (1km?, 100m?) and calcualte gradient for each and then color it? Anyone has any idea? :)

Kacper Golinski I know intervals.icu. It breaks the route into 200m segments and calculates the average gradient for each segment. Looks like this (see screenshot). You can also color the descents (see second screenshot).

Kacper Golinski It looks like this in Komoot. I'm not sure exactly what they are doing, but I would suspect a moving average.
