Adding straight line segments breaks the elevation profile graph

Current behavior: Adding any straight line segment changes the entire elevation profile graph. The data in the mouseover is still correct, but the graphical representation is not. Desired behavior: The non-straight line segments should still graph correctly and the straight line segment should show either as a discontinuity or as a straight line interpolation between the nodes.
